Hey Jordan, how is it going? Here's my question: How come you have the privilege to head on tour with all those bands, especially the quite famous ones like Architects? Do you have an agent or do they just hit you up via mail or something? How does that work? And how about payment? Do you just attend one show if it's close-by or do you join the guys in their trailer or hotel rooms for free?
Yo! Yeah im good thanks keeping busy. Firstly yeah it a privilege the guys that I have toured with are all now friends and are great guys! I actually went out with my friends band called Heights who was on the Architects tour. I have been on a number of tour with Heights and we will work very closely together for a while i’d like to imagine, as they are great guys! But yeah I worked with Architects on that tour as well for publications doing photographs and a video. I do not have an agent, I do it all myself kinda hard to organise myself but I get it done. Yeah i just get emails from people in the bands or the management or record labels or the mags/publications that want me to work with them and we take it from there. Most of the time it starts off with an email bouncing back and forth seeing what each other wants from the shoot then will most likely ring at some point to just confirm everything is good and everyone is the same lines. Payment wise it all depends on who the client is and how well you know them and lots of different factors. Everyone is different when it comes to payment. I usually go on whole tours or at least for as long as I can do. I ride with them in the vans and buses and stay with them. If its just a off one show im going to it’ll most likely be near-by so I just go home afterwards. I hope that answered some of your questions well enough. |
